Once again FINAT, the
international federation of self-adhesive label manufacturers, has awarded an
acknowledgement to IPE Innovaciones Para Etiquetajes at the annual
contest organised by this association.Out of this year's 325 contestants only some of the works reached the great final and were designated "High Recommendations" as a result of their innovation, printing excellence or technology applied. IPE obtained 3 recommendations, the first for the Holographic Sleeve which creates a coloured sparkles effect when changing the label's viewing angle. This is an innovative work as it is very complicated and unusual to create a holographic effect on a sleeve label.
The second outstanding work was the Interactive Label which by means of a camera uses image-recognition technology to conduct promotional actions, games, etc. on the consumer's Smartphone. It attracted the jury's attention because of the use of new technologies applied to the label.
Finally, the third work acknowledged was the IRA label, which outstands for its complicated burnt-paper effect. It requires a special die-stamp which must coincide perfectly with the printing to make it look like the label was burnt by fire.
