IPE 50 years (1962-2012)

This year IPE Innovaciones Para Etiquetajes, S.L celebrates its 50th anniversary, an occasion which allows reviewing the long path which has allowed the company to be acknowledged, both national and internationally, as a company of reference in the sector of graphic arts.

IPE Innovaciones Para etiquetajes, S.L opened in 1962 when it started manufacturing adhesive paper and subsequently incorporated technologies and machinery which allowed developing the Self-adhesive Labels business. Later on it received awards and acknowledgements which made it outstand among the other sector companies.
Years later, the company decided to create a special division dedicated to the manufacturing of Sleeve Shrinkable Labels, named SleeveDirect by which it offered its clients a new option in decoration and packaging different to the self-adhesive labels.
As from then, the company has been dedicated to create new and innovative applications related to labels and packaging which range from technological applications to the creation of labels that create sensations through the senses:  smells, supports with textures, relieves or special inks are some of the different options offered by IPE Innovaciones Para Etiquetajes, S.L to create new experiences through their labels. 
Celebrating the 50th anniversary is a milestone in the path of any company and transmits multiple meanings:  soundness, experience, capacity to adapt, environmental awareness… For IPE Innovaciones Para Etiquetajes, S.L it means to continue working in the manufacture of innovative and quality self-adhesive labels for many more years.  

IPE Future: Creating Emotions through the Senses

IPE Innovaciones Para Etiquetajes, S.L believes that the future of Labels and Packaging lies in creating emotions through the the senses. When designing a label, the composition, materials, textures, shines and shapes are elements that must support each other to form a coherent and aesthetic whole capable of creating emotions.

The combination of materials, design and printing technologies allow creating labels that stimulate people and thereby create a sensorial relationship with the product.  Labels with pleasant smells, relief and special textures, inks and pigments which create spectacular sparkles and shines are some of the examples of the sensations and new experiences that the consumer can perceive with labels.

The future lies in offering our customers pleasant sensations, not only selling the product but also by creating a positive inducement linked to the purchase being made. 

3 Generations of IPE

IPE Innovaciones Para Etiquetajes, S.L is part of the 15% of the Family Run Businesses that survive to the third generation.  This continuity is mainly due to the synergy between Francisco Egea Gorina, founder and owner and his son Lluís Egea i Coma, to start new businesses, manage the company and create commitment to the future with employees.

is currently managed by Lluís Egea i Coma, who works together with his son Francesc Egea Marcó to maintain the values, the vision and the passion for the company that was instilled by the founder.


The key for success has been that every generation has worked more and better than the previous one, contributing professionalism, innovations and growth to the business, within the company’s traditions and values. This task is currently carried out with great enthusiasm and dedication by Francesc Egea Marcó, the third generation at IPE Innovaciones Para Etiquetajes, S.L
